A good observation about our women folk.  I'm just afraid that the
well-meaning point your're making here about them was almost lost in the
analogy, i.e. the tv commercial about "learning a lot from a dummy" and the
subsquent statement that we can also learn from our women folk.

As far as Gambia-L is concerned, I don't think we even need to look too far
for some of our heroines.  Throughout the Gambian demonstrations that I've
attended (Washington DC and New York) I've noticed that our ladies were
always in the front-line, leading the crowd.  Their leadership role has been
unquestionable throughout those occasions. Of course, I would be patronizing
them if I were to assume otherwise.
