Gassama and Essa Sey, because these elections are so insignificant, I would NOT get into the forensics of the numbers. The truth of the matter is, less than 20% of the electorate participated in the elections. You cannot run away from that. Essa Sey, if you think that I am pinning my hopes on Halifa Sallah to be effective in Parliament, you must be on something that is bad for your state of mind. Can’t you read and understand English? The boycott was a resounding success. More than 80% of the electorate did NOT vote. From Ebrima Sillah’s posting, the only Independent candidate we saw was a disgruntled APRC member. So, Halifa Sallah’s malicious calls for UDP stalwarts to defect and stand as independent candidates was NOT heeded by the UDP membership. Gassama, I am NOT hoping for any particular form of protesting against the Dictatorship. APRC will push the Opposition to the corner. When that happens, you know exactly who to blame.
