38 mins: Liberia have the best chance so far, when Seator pounces on a Malian defensive blunder, but his shot is just wide.

34 mins: Mali win a threatening throw-in but the Liberians seem to have all their men in defence to contain the pressure.

28 mins: Mahamadou Diarra forces his way into open space but his shot is feeble.

27 mins: Liberian keeper Crayton punches away a dangerous free kick. Liberia then launch an attack but Frank Seator is caught offside.

24 mins: Mali's Seydou Keita is fouled from 20 yards out, earning Zizi Roberts the yellow card. Segbwe also receives a yellow for wasting time making the wall. Mali wastes the freekick hitting it straight into the Liberia players..

20 mins: Weah engineers the first chance for Liberia. The captain volleys forward to Prince Daye, but he just fails to put direction to his shot.

17 mins: Liberia win a freekick aimed for the head of George Weah, but Malian keeper Mamadou Sidibe collects the ball easily.

16 mins: Mali's Abdoulaye Camara limps off after seeming to pull a muscle.

15 mins:Bassala Toure goes down in the box but the Libyan referee waves away Malian protests.

12 mins: Mali still have possession of the ball and Liberia are really struggling to make an impression. Debbah is fouled in midfield in what appears to be dangerous-looking position, but the ensuing freekick failed to produce anything for the Lone Star.

10 mins: Mali's Bassala Toure makes an ambitious run on the right but his run has too much pace for his own team.

7 mins: Basala Toure fails to connect with his header after S. Coulibaly's free kick on the right wing.

5 mins: Bagayoko takes a surprise shot from outside of the box, but it went straight to the hands of Liberian keeper Louis Crayton.

2 mins: Goalkick to Liberia. Bagayoko challenges in the Liberian half but the referee says there will be no corner. Liberia meanwhile start a steady build up but are unable to penetrate into the Malian half.

1st minute: Bagayoko piles pressure on Liberia defender Zizi Roberts in the first action of the Nations Cup
