Matarr,

We are not allowed to eat pork nor drink alcohol because it is forbidden by our creator. I can give you all the specific verses in the one and only aunthentic book actually revealed to the prophet by the angels directly The holy Quran.

We must abide by the rules of God . It is also forbidden to Christians and Jews alike . Check the Torah and the old testiment ( book of Leviticus  for example). There are Christians who follow the bible like the Sevenday Adventists and do not eat pork or drink alcohol plus eat only halal meats ( ie properly slaughtered with only Allah's name invoked)
