Hi: I think Weah is simply too successful & confident a man to not have a positive impact in Liberians. The guys is a consummate professional who achieved everything from hard work and tenacity. The guy was raised by his grandmother in the countryside, outside Monrovia. He moved to Tonerre Yaounde in the mid-80s, where he excelled. Arsene Wenger snapped him up in the late 80s and helped George become an awesome football player as well as a great professional. Then it was unto Milan where he was wined & dined by Berlusconi, the Italian president and media tycoon. Not only this, but he is also a UN or UNESCO goodwill ambassador of sorts. These successes are the main reason why he cannot live in Liberia. God has given him everything and the man is simply too professional & good to sit aside and watch the nonsense that Taylor is doing in Liberia. In fact, I believe if G Weah ever ran for president, he would emerge victorious. IMO, this is part of the reason why Charles Taylor and his regime would feel threatened by the great George Weah. <<//\\>>//\\<<//\\>>//\\<<//\\>>//\\<<//\\>>//\\<<//\\>> To view archives of postings, go to the Gambia-L Web interface at: http://maelstrom.stjohns.edu/archives/gambia-l.html To contact the List Management, please send an e-mail to: [log in to unmask] <<//\\>>//\\<<//\\>>//\\<<//\\>>//\\<<//\\>>//\\<<//\\>>
