Muslim Women fought in battles, worked in all aspects of life including business (even the prophet's wife Khadijah was a businesswoman) Isha was a teacher >I can give you several examples ( I can send  you an email seperately as not overkill this issue here on the G-l) 

Let us not mix culture with religion. This happens here in the US too. Bachelors night for the bride or groom to have a so called "lastpot" before they get married with their friends is disgusting in my opinion ,not taught by either Jews or christians but it is widely practiced.
