The Social Security and Housing Finance Corporation has launched avertisements in the local papers announcing its intension to launch the Brusubi phase 2 housing project.

Accordingt to the adverts, phase 2 would be located at the Sukuta end of the phase 1 layout across the highway.  It is estimated to cost about D40 million on a 92 hectare site. I would consist of 841 service plots for residential, business and institutional use including 200 complete core houses as well as apartments.

I do not know whether those in the Diaspora would be allowed to apply for or buy some of the service plots or core houses and apartments as yet. I am however posting this to alert those who might be thinking of buying compounds here. Those of you who might be interested in them may contact the SSHFC management on (220) - 228589, 229813, 227698, 225425 and 222271-76.

Have a good day, Gassa.
