Frogs disburses school materials valued over D2M

Friends of Gambian Schools (Frogs) on Saturday donated items valued over D2 million to the Gambian schools and Bakau Health Centre. Speaking at the handing over ceremony at Bakau Lower Basic School, a representative from the Regional Education Office in Region One, Mr Barry, called on the beneficiaries to make the best use of the materials to enable them to get more support from the donors.

The headmistress of the school, Saffie Bobb Jobe, applauded the donors for the kind gesture.

According to her, Frogs did a tremendous job for Gambian schools. She gave the assurance that her school would put the materials to good use. The leader of FROGS delegation, said they had been donating to schools for the past several years and would continue to lend them more support since education of the children was their main concern. Other speakers included Mrs Ya Harri Jallow and alkalo of Bakau, Mr Luntang Jaiteh.
