Beran,

Thanks a lot for the forwards. They make very interesting reading. This particular one sort of vindicates a major gist of what Joe had been saying concerning our recently normalised relations with the US and what it might translate to, vis-a-vis more loans/grants and the need for us to minimise our dependency on loans/grants. I for one is for the utilisation of both grants/loans whilst at the same time change our attitude from that of over dependency on loans/grants to that of production and hard work. We must minimise waste and over dependency, a feat that seems to be very difficult these days. We must change our mindset of dependency which is characterised by our extended family setting. I am not for one minute suggesting that we abandone our extended family system. However we must guard against its abuse by a few. We can never develop if only 10% work and produce while the other 90% just consume. We must also sensitise our peoples about our ever growing population. We must not use the raising of huge families as insurance against posible poverty or destitution in old age. It is counter productive these days.

Have a good day, Gassa.
