If I were minister of Religion and Vice, and I committed an act of Rape or Prostitution intended to be kept a secret as my private life, but through divine intervention it became public, I would ask my wife and children for forgiveness, repent for I had sinned, and I would resign my ministerial position or at the very least, ask the president to transfer me to the ministry of Gambling, Rape, Sodomy, and Prostitution.
Like I said, Humans are capable of both good and evil. Most of the crimes in the evil that men do, are those of opportunity and temptation. The difference between one of ministerial qualities and one who is ministered to, is that the former has discipline, clarity of mind, and true faith in his/her religion to put the opportunities in perspective and neutralize temptations for crime and dishonour. Not to try to hide his/her deceit, decrepitude, dishonesty, and weakness because he/she is a national leader who advises and chides.
You wouldn't want to be the chief justice of the Supreme court after having been seen raping one of your future clients - Ramou Gambia - would you? You would beg the ill-advised president against the idea.
In the same breath, If I committed theft, robbery, murder, arson, and fraudulent agency as president, I will be seeking folk of similar vile-mania to appoint in positions where my vices are to be arbitrated. Again, the appointee could exhibit better judgement and decline.
