The book is called "ISLAM'S BLACK SLAVES: A History of Africa's Other Black Diaspora" by Roland Seagal. This book should be of interesting reading for those interested in the subject. There is a review at: http://www.africana.com/Reviews/books_71.htm and other websites about the book can be found at: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=islam%27s+black+slaves&btnG=Google+Search Momodou Camara ******************************************************* http://home3.inet.tele.dk/mcamara http://www.gambia.dk **"Start by doing what's necessary, then what's possible and suddenly you are doing the impossible"*** ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ To unsubscribe/subscribe or view archives of postings, go to the Gambia-L Web interface at: http://maelstrom.stjohns.edu/archives/gambia-l.html To contact the List Management, please send an e-mail to: [log in to unmask] ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
