Thanks for the update

 As far as tickets are concerned -Is it $35 per person (suppose some of us coming with spouses and children- will we have to pay $35.00 for each person? ) That would be kind of  stiff and unfair. Dont you agree 

I think we should all pay even  out of state  participants  but they should pay  maybe 50% discount on the tickets ( if they show their out of state  IDs- as suggested) in order to support the ALD  expenses .It is not asking for too much and it takes into consideration they have traveled all the way from different states to attend. But it is only once a year

For the picnic- any plans for a rain day  . Remember last year how the rains drove most of us home and we were crowed in the small park hall.  

As far as the symposium is concerned why not do it all at the same location- St michael's . It is near the metro and downtown Silver Spring close to all living in the area. If there is conflict due to the church services then Wheaton or  community Center on Georgia Ave or White Oak on 29& New hamp are  an ideal alternative and easily acessible by bus and or train also.
