Gassama: Everything you have listed here is a foreign initiative. Given, they are "possitive" developments for the people of The Gambia, but it would be nice to see a long term plan for the supply of water out there. Gambians do not need wells. Instead, clean running water from boreholes that use pipes to get to there destination so that folks can drink clean and sanitized water. Thats what we need not more wells. Nevertheless, I would be happy to see a comprehensive plan to provide clean water to the whole country, especially the rural areas. By plan, I mean a comprehensive and well researched document, which incorporates both foreign plans for us as well as initiatives the powers that be. -Yus ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ To unsubscribe/subscribe or view archives of postings, go to the Gambia-L Web interface at: http://maelstrom.stjohns.edu/archives/gambia-l.html To contact the List Management, please send an e-mail to: [log in to unmask] ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
