Wallidan leads at half way break


Defending champions Wallidan completed the first round of the Gambian league
at the top, finishing at 17 points, two points of clear of second placed
Real de Banjul.
The blue boys as they are called here have never looked back since starting
the season on a high note winning with big margins in contrast to last year
when they drew many matches in a row.
They were running a two way crusade the other being  in the Caf champions
league where they started well, eliminating Guinea’s Horoya 4-1  on
aggregate in the preliminaries before going out to Raja Casablanca 5-2 in
the second round.
Down in the  ten team league are Steve Biko, Hawks, Sait Matty  crowding the
next best positions at 15 ,14 points 12 respectively.
The secound round resumes in mid April.
