Mr. Asbjorn, Sorry for this late reply, i was not checking my mails. You may be right on Reinhold Niebuhr. A friend printed out this quotation with the notion that it might help keep my feet on the ground. You know when kids get massacred, people are screaming obscenities at the perpetrators, demanding their heads. It dawns on you that you have two outstanding alternatives to end the madness among others: 1) either you turn your body into a warhead, walk up to state house/cabinet and blow up the murderers, in the process taking your own life or 2) take the protracted road by trusting the spontaneity and courage inherent in an enduring people(Venezuela as a recent example)somewhere between the two lies the essence of this quotation for me! Kindly forward any information on Mr. Niebuhr if you have any! Thank you for your input. "God grant me the serenity to accept the things i cannot change, the courage to change the things i can, and the wisdom to know the difference" -Reinhold Niebuhr _________________________________________________________________ Join the world’s largest e-mail service with MSN Hotmail. http://www.hotmail.com ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ To unsubscribe/subscribe or view archives of postings, go to the Gambia-L Web interface at: http://maelstrom.stjohns.edu/archives/gambia-l.html To contact the List Management, please send an e-mail to: [log in to unmask] ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
