It will not be difficult for someone who has been away for that long to notice the changes and how they impact on people.  I guess he went with an open mind and base on this, he form his impression.  Giving credit where  credit is due does not tantamount to bowing pressure.
Thanks,
Ebou

Ode to the OPEN MIND:

To fathoms of thine empty expanse us twain glitter

our voluptuous roundnesses, an allure to our profundity.

Our opaque brushes prepare us for new awes.

Though frontal, our experience spans periphery, save the backside.

Custodian of nerves and thine aural accessories, Twain also be their character.

Ban Bang Crash Crash Squeak Squeak. Delights of ordered chaos.

reverberrating in thine empty expanse, we infuse culture in your visual experience.

Warn you of dangers unseen, and from the backside. We assist where sight does not distinguish danger from joy.

All in immaculate equilibrium in thine locomotion. A splendid machine all to ourselves.

We heard about Dumo, the student-citizens, the arsons, abductions, the retired dalasis, the extra-national accounts and prostitution. All stored away safely for easy reference for your inquisitive hollowness.

Ebou, the rest of the senses that humans are provided with, complement the open and empty mind. That complement gives the mind the ability to discern fact from fiction and fraud. Otherwise there would be no need to be further educated and attach a post-baccalaureate prefix to your name. If the open mind were a reliable and tangible asset, it was not given conscience to kill and maim or selectively destroy. The open mind has endured a lot of blame. It is time we take full responsibility for our actions and emmissions and share the blame among the eyes, ears, tongue, nerves, and nose. Those are the senses that give character to what goes in the big empty open mind. Someone mentioned here how the seemingly intelligent are the easiest to hoodwink. I submit that the error lies in qualifying intelligence.

As usual, I don't have a lot of time to write a thesis, but feel free to explore my premise.

Your heart was in the right place, but Dr. Touray finds himself in a compromising position now. I imagine if I ever understand why in all his years of absence from Gambia, he hadn't bothered to verify his understanding of what was going on. Dr. Touray, Katim to be sure, has not really offered any new information. He merely regurgitated what has been peddled here as APRC propaganda. As regards whether anything has changed in Gambia during his years of absence therefrom, I would submit that even dumb fish who spend a minute out of water will realize natural, if infinitessimal changes of tectonic readjustment in their aquatic habitat. The important question is the nature and effect of those changes and how the fish will re-adapt given its new-found extra-aquatic perspective. I bet you that fish will avoid dangling worms like a plague. Even Musa Jeng, the self-appointed fisherman of the L, seems to be re-invigorated at the opportunity of his redemption. Quelle connerie???

Les plus importants transformations sont les modifications "accidentelles".

Amoebic movement is effectuated by the sum-total of cellular reconfigurations.
Yours truly - Haruna.
