Yus et al,

No one should insult your parents or you for having a different opinion or for speaking on what you see as the truth. Even Damfa may have a different style of  communicating but he basically speaks his mind and expresses what he thinks or perceives as the truth. I respect that and we should respect & appreciate anyone who contribute  pro or con like Gassama I truly learn and get up to date info from our jungle surprise brother. His contributions just like Kebba's are truly interesting . From my experience in the half century plus I have lived ,I have learned to listen to both sides and make a reasonable analysis of what I think might be the truth .

The truth hurts but it lifts the burden on the speakers ( we on this forum). There is a local Banjul saying " Daigah kannie lah " The truth is like pepper.(meaning it burns your tongue when you eat it and if you like 'Akara' - you must be prepared to eat some pepper too as they go together.)and the joke that follows that is -- be prepared to fart too "dohot"-- as the beans cause you to have gas - remember in Banjul we had no beano to solve that ( laugh)

For those on the list who do not know what  akara is. It is like  a small doughnut made with  black eyes beans/peas and is fried . The pepper is cooked with onions . then served together.

Having said that one thing I would not tolerate on this forum or any other is  pornography /nasty sex jokes or xxxrated pictures. There may be many younger ones on the G-L who may be victims of such abuses.

With that I say use the delete button as suggested whenever you feel attacked  but continue your contributions  'for our common good' as mentioned in the national anthem.

best regards

Habib Diab Ghanim
