A golden goal from Henri Camara guided Senegal into the quarter-finals at the expense of Sweden as Bruno Metsu's side ensured Africa were represented in the last eight. In the 103rd minute the Sedan player, who also scored Senegal's equaliser, latched on to Pape Thiaw's clever backheel, ghosted past Johan Mjallby and then guided the ball past Magnus Hedman. By reaching the quarter-finals where they will meet either Japan or Turkey in Osaka, Senegal became only the second African nation - Cameroon were the first - to reach the last eight of the competition.
