The war there has lead to some two and a half to three million deaths. Amnesty International has documented large-scale human rights abuses, including acts of torture, sexual violence, unlawful killings and illegal detentions. The Rwandan, Ugandan and Zimbabwean governments and their rebel counterparts in the DRC have perpetrated the abuses, often as a means to secure and exploit vast natural resources in the country. Please urge the governments of Rwanda, Uganda, and Zimbabwe to respect human rights by contacting: Rwanda http://takeaction.amnestyusa.org/action/index.asp?step=2&item=1604 Uganda http://takeaction.amnestyusa.org/action/index.asp?step=2&item=1615 Zimbabwe http://takeaction.amnestyusa.org/action/index.asp?step=2&item=1606 ++++++++++++++++++++++++ You received this message because [log in to unmask] is a member of the mailing list originating from [log in to unmask] To unsubscribe from all mailing lists originating from [log in to unmask], send an email to [log in to unmask] ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ To unsubscribe/subscribe or view archives of postings, go to the Gambia-L Web interface at: http://maelstrom.stjohns.edu/archives/gambia-l.html To contact the List Management, please send an e-mail to: [log in to unmask] ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
