The Gambia is to have two oil refineries according to Mr. Bruce H.Y. Gilfix, CEO of Global Management Group. The project, which is expected to cost about US $2.5 Billion, entails the construction of two refineries, one in the GBA and the other in the provincies. According to the CEO of GMG, after making several visits to The Gambia, his group is convinced that investing in The Gambia is a wise move. He hailed President Jammeh's development projects such as schools, roads and hospitals. He further explained that this venture of their's would create tens of thousands of JObs for Gambians and bring in much needed foreign exchange. Fuel shortage or power outage would soon be a thing of the past, he was quoted as saying. Details later. In another development, The Gambia is to receive US $27 million from the worldbank over the next three years to help it fight poverty. Again, details will be supplied later. There is a time in the life of every problem when it is big enough to see, yet small enough to solve. -Mike- Levitt- _________________________________________________________________ Chat with friends online, try MSN Messenger: http://messenger.msn.com ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ To unsubscribe/subscribe or view archives of postings, go to the Gambia-L Web interface at: http://maelstrom.stjohns.edu/archives/gambia-l.html To contact the List Management, please send an e-mail to: [log in to unmask] ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
