Since I am not a subscribing member of UDP I would not try to tell them how they should run their party but I am of the opinion that after losing two general elections Darboe should call for a congress and change of leadership. That in itself is what would make Gambia and the UDP a true democracy. Darboe would have assume a special place in Gambian history as not only the first opposition leader who conceded to election defeat (by congratulating the winner) but also as one who had the vision and courage to allow someone else lead to keep the fight alive. Such a move would allow him to focus his energy an expertise in other areas of party administration e.g. public defender. In fact the past 7 year had demonstrated that Darboe's is more of a public defender than a politician. My advice to him is it is better later than never.
