Lack of rain has wiped out the country's rice harvests, has destroyed 60 percent of its millet harvest, and 40 percent of its peanut harvest, Vice President Isatou Njie-Saidy said, adding that the country's maize harvest and livestock had also been affected by the drought. People in the west African nation's countryside were already suffering from malnutrition, she said.
