The first award came from the California-based Travel Talk Radio in recognition of the role its four weekly flights to four destinations in Africa, The Gambia, Ghana, Cote D'Ivoire and Cameroon, will play in the promotion of tourism and investment in Africa. A plaque to that effect reads, "In commemoration and with great appreciation and honour, we fly the inaugural flight of Afrinat International Airlines -In friendship and Peace-Travel Talk Radio." The San Diego Conventions and Visitors Bureau also has an award for the airline. Its plaque reads: "In commemoration of the inaugural flight of Afrinat International Airlines -with warm regards and friendship -The San Diego Convention and Visitors Bureau" Travel Talk Radio Host and Producer, Sandy Dhuyvetter, told The Independent that it would be an honour for her to be on the maiden flight of Afrinat International Airlines which has a great potential to be the gateway to Africa. The maiden flight of the airline from JFK New York to the Banjul International Airport scheduled for September 30 was postponed to a date yet to be announced. -- There is a time in the life of every problem when it is big enough to see, yet small enough to solve (Mike Leavitt) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ To unsubscribe/subscribe or view archives of postings, go to the Gambia-L Web interface at: http://maelstrom.stjohns.edu/archives/gambia-l.html To contact the List Management, please send an e-mail to: [log in to unmask] ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
