Islamic center is definately praying tomorrow and many places in Va . (time ten am)

If you cant's make it you can come to MCC on friday - at 8.30 am /9.30 am and 10.30 am last prayer) . Eid is three days anyway so even if you pray on friday or saturday it is valid as log as your local center made the decision.

Most places in north america are following ISNA's decision to pray on friday but almost 3/4 of the world have prayed following Mecca in saudi Arabia. since we are in a different time zone there is validity in not seeing the moon but I normally use common scense and check the scientific & astrological data provided by the naval observatoty in Wash Dc (they have the most powerful telescope in the world) which indicates that the new moon was born on wednesday the 4 th dec 2002 therefore Eid should be on the 5 th.

But as usual we have some jangjangbureh pakistanis who still insist they must see the new moon even if it snows or rains - and they may as well wait until saturday ie if they started to fast on nov 7 th.

Only Allah knows who is right but I follow the majority always and hope we are right

best regards

Habib
