Jabou and Habib, Let's give him the benefit of the doubt. About his lack of visit to Africa, this is his 2nd year in office. So a visit is still possible. Besides, while I agree that the symbolism of a visit is important, his pledge and if/when it is carried out, would benefit the continent a lot more. Ousman ps. he did visit the Gambia in 1990. I remember being really bummed out because I didn't take part in the march. Yes, back in the primary/high school days, those little things were important. :) >From: Habib Ghanim <[log in to unmask]> >Reply-To: The Gambia and related-issues mailing list ><[log in to unmask]> >To: [log in to unmask] >Subject: Re: Africans Welcome U.S. Help on AIDS >Date: Fri, 31 Jan 2003 15:11:15 +0000 > _________________________________________________________________ Protect your PC - get McAfee.com VirusScan Online http://clinic.mcafee.com/clinic/ibuy/campaign.asp?cid=3963 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ To unsubscribe/subscribe or view archives of postings, go to the Gambia-L Web interface at: http://maelstrom.stjohns.edu/archives/gambia-l.html To contact the List Management, please send an e-mail to: [log in to unmask] ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
