Halifa, Let me join Rene and others in urging you to choose what to respond to. Your character, dedication and selflessness surpass that of most, if not all your detractors combined. You have proven your worth not by words but by deeds over a long period. You are a public figure and as such are open to critique and criticism. That is the beauty of democracy. True democracy is however guided by among other things, common sense and sincerity and negated by among other things, self-righteousness and pettiness. You have very important work to do not only for your constituency but for the whole country. Do not be distracted. Your character is intact as far as most Gambians are concerned. Even those who disagree with your methods and policies attest to your sincerity and dedication to The Gambia. Questioning your character is a non-issue as far as many Gambians are concerned. So please spend your time dealing with important things and not waste it dealing with non-issues. Another beautiful aspect of democracy is having the choice of responding or not. Please choose not to respond to non- issues. Thanks and have a good evening. Buharry. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ To Search in the Gambia-L archives, go to: http://maelstrom.stjohns.edu/CGI/wa.exe?S1=gambia-l To contact the List Management, please send an e-mail to: [log in to unmask] To unsubscribe/subscribe or view archives of postings, go to the Gambia-L Web interface at: http://maelstrom.stjohns.edu/archives/gambia-l.html ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
