Ndey Last year when i was in the Gambia, i took a quick trip to Sokone to visit some of my mum´s relatives. On my way back they had to stop the ferry for at least one and the half hours simply because Baba´s goods (mostly furniture) were on the way and shouldn´t spend the night at Barra. To my surprise there were some heavy transports which have been waiting for days to cross to Banjul. The drivers complained but to no avail. This is just one incident which i happened to witness. Yes Baba was indirectly running the Gambia.
