Happy new year- Hijrah- ( starts sunday 22 or sat 21- depending on the moon sighting)

it is talaboone time again

 

Ashura will be on the 1 or 2 nd of March 2004 - As Samba Goddard reminded us recently  it is also a sacred time and fasting is recommended on the last two days or any one of the first ten days

This was the fasting period that prophet Moses (pbuh) practiced and also the time that the grandchildren of the prophet Muhammad (pbuh) were killed in Karbala Iraq the present areas  where there is a lot of bloodshed amongst muslims themselves not to talk of many foreign lives

 

Let us pray for the end of bloodshed and injustice everywhere on the globe.

May this year be the end of the hardships we face here and at home.
