Good afternoon everybody, I just wanted to inform folks that I have sent $175.00 (Habib's, Kebba F's, Ousman's and F. Samateh's) contributions to Karamba, which he has confirmed that he has received. The option to keep the contributions coming in is still open so for those of you who are able, your money can do great things for Armitage High School and no amount is too small or too large for that matter. Now the friendly reminder.... For those of you who have still not sent in your pledges, I am kindly asking you to do so at your earliest convienence. The school needs every bit of it and appreciates the help greatly. IDEA----Please try this, it's too easy of a concept not to. I have been seriously thinking about the question that Omar Joof raised in regard to, "how do you get the masses to participate?" and one of the things that comes to mind is you invite your children to get involved at an early age. Sitting on my kitchen table is a container, called the CHANGE 4 CHANGE: the Armitage Fund, which will remain on my table indefinitely. I and my children will be collecting any spare change we have and putting it in this container for Armitage. It is at the dinner table so that my children can look at it and we can discuss the reasons we are collecting. My children are extremely young so they might not understand truly (except Hassan-he told me the other day to give up coffee- he knows I am a caffeine addict) but, they will find change in every nook and cranny and put it in the container. As they grow, it is my hope that we carry on more meaningful discussions at the dinner table regarding why we are doing what we are doing and how is it that we can make a difference in the world we live in, etc., etc. Now, I have also contacted 3 local businesses, and two of them, owned by the same individual, are willing to put up a CHANGE 4 CHANGE container as well. The businesses have college students as their primary customers so, I think it is also good to expose them as well. Thank you everyone, Chris Sukuna-The Armitage Fund 1333 Wedgewood Avenue Eau Claire, WI 54703 USA CURRENT LIST ***KT=money sent to Karamba on 03/30/04 Karamba Touray $100.00 pledge ($100.00 received 03/18/04)-KT Chris Sukuna $400.00 pledge ($400.00 received 03/08/04)-KT Soffie Ceesay $50.00 pledge ($50.00 received 03/13/04)-KT Banka Manneh pledged-$50.00 ($50.00 received 03/26/04)-KT Dr. Saine $100.00 pledge Cynthia Daniels $50.00 pledge ($50.00 received 3/5/04)-KT Karamo $100.00 pledge ($125.00 received 03/26/04)-KT Habib Ghanim $50.00 pledge (50.00 received 04/01/04)-KT Kebba Foon pledged-$25.00 ($25.00 received 04/01/04)-KT Yankubu Darboe $100.00 pledge Abibou Jallow $100.00 pdg ($100.00 recv'd 03/15/04)*see gifts-KT Binneh Minteh pledged Kabba Jimbara pledged-$30.00 ($30.00 received 03/19/04)-KT Ismaila Hydara pledged (See below in gifts section -delivered to AHS) Ousman Bojang pledged Nicole Garrett $100.00 pledge ($100.00 received 03/13/04)-KT Maila Touray $50.00 pledge ($50.00 received 03/29/04)-KT Baba G.
