<?/bigger><?/bigger>
The vibrant sights and exciting sounds of Africa are coming to the Washington, D.C. area on Saturday, May 14th, at the All Cameroonian Cultural Festival, and the Friends of Cameroon will be there! This event will feature more than two dozen cultural groups representing the diverse nature of Cameroon, a country often called “Africa in miniature” because of the varied parts of the West African nation. The activities will be held at the Show Place Arena in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, from 2 pm until 11 pm.

An extra attraction this year will be the FOC “mini-symposium” on Cameroon, at 2pm before the dances start. Representatives from Peace Corps and the Department of State Cameroon desk will discuss what is going on in Cameroon. This is a chance to meet other FOC members as well as get the latest on Cameroon.

The All Cameroonian Cultural Festival will feature a fashion show, an African art display, traditional Cameroon dances, live music, and other cultural performances. Cameroon foods and beverages will be available.
