BY PA NDERRY M'BAI The death of former Gambia student Union executive member Baboucarr Ann, has been announced. Mr.Ann, in his late 20's died Saturday, shortly after sudden illness. Ann also a former official of the National Intelligence Agency, the NIA was said to be suffering from stomach pain late Saturday afternoon, which resulted to his brief hospitalisation prior his death. Ann, who got married about four months ago, was trying to establish a new family life when he met his tragic death. He is expected to be laid to rest today at the Dippa Kunda cemetery. Ann, was among GAMSU'S executive members arrested by the police following the April 10 student disturbances, which left about 14 unarmed students death. He also testified in the Lartey Commission, which probed the students killings. According to informed sources reaching "ALLGAMBIAN" the autopsy report about the actual cause of Mr.Ann's death had not been released to his family yet. Sources say the report might be released on Monday. A source who claimed to have seen the late Ann being taken to the hospital intimated that Ann was complaining about stomach pain, among other things prior to his demise. Mr.Ann, a former student of The Gambia High school, would be missed by his friends, associates and family members. Our condolence to the Ann family.
