Bamba

You are so right. It is funny but one of the reasons why the G L started was just after the coup in 1994 and I was in touch with Katim and Tony loum and a few others inthe west coast to find out what really had happened and to check on our families back home as the phones back home were dead for days then. We used to do domestic US phones calls and at times conference calls at first and later the good folks at St Johns with  Loum and Taurey's help ( plus loums sister mini of course) started this group which grew to where we are today with the mighty  post and the talk, bantaba plus many other mini Gambian groups  now on board. it is now the best way to get the latest heibarr from Banjul

I hope that the original files are secured for keepsake and Gambia 's future history students.

May we unite and be under one umbrella  no matter what affiliations/parties or tribal /religious groups we may belong. I pray for our beautiful beloved country folks be blessed with a joint consortium of gambian groups   to continue sharing both good and bad news.

By the way what happened to bro Tijan who was our first source of orbituary announcements?

Hope he is well

Wasalaam
