On Monday 6 November, Demba Ndow, once a great footballer, passed away.
Demba is a victim pf the gas explosion that took place early last week at
Kanifing Estate at Ousman Njie's place. Demba , living close by, rushed to
help his neighbours. In the midst of taking out the materials, a second gas
exploded. This one caused more harm as those helping were unaware of another
gas in the room. 14 people were severely burnt. Five have died since last
weekend and some are still in a critical condition. Among those who passed
away is Demba Ndow. A vibrant man who loves to sacrifice selflessly to see
joy and happiness among his neighbours, sacrificed his life to save them
from possible death and destruction.
