Well Haruna, I have long been an advisor to the Gambian state by the mere fact of my working in the media. But apparently, our current political dispensation would hear only honeyed advice which, unfortunately, I simply do not have and can therefore not give. We also know that in a dictatorship, the so-called leader is omnipresent, omnipotent, omniscient, and many other omnis besides and so supposedly has no need of advisors, only praise singers and worshipful head-nodders. So unfortunately for him, such a leader has no option but to learn the very hard way when it is way too late to hear advice.
