Gambian president His Confused Excellency Alhagie Doctor Yahya Abdul Aziz Jemus Junkung Swordy Beady Jammeh - self-proclamied curer of AIDS, hypertension, diabetes, impotence, barrenness, asthma, cancer, poverty and jealousy - has added yet another honorable title to his hallowed names. Last week Gambia Radio and Television Services announced that henceforth, the title of Professor was to be added to Jammeh's names. The government-controlled Daily Observer formally used the new title today, Monday, Nov. 24 in addressing His Confused Excellency. Jammeh, a high school certificate holder and former wrestler and lieutenant in the Gambian army who seized power in a military coup on July 22, 1994, was confered with a honorary doctorate by St. Mary's University in Halifax, Nova Scotia a few years ago. Last week, the University of Costa Rico named him senator-for-life. Dr. Alhagie Professor Yahya A-J-J-J-Jamming wasted no time in poking this newest sharp honor into the bleeding noses of the Gambian people as further evidence of his global sterling qualities. Many were so happy at the naming of Africa's newest professor that they immediately pledged to register for his classes, whether he offered classes or not.
