Mawdo Yero,

What a surprise that the army will pick up the honorable pastor. It shows you the level of ignorance of our service men and women on the role of civilian aspect of society and the press. The number one role of the press is for public officials to use it to communicate to the general society since they cannot reach every individual citizen and give them information.

At the same times when that information is lacking in society and citizens are affraid to speak up, they should go through their spiritual leaders and elders in society who could raise such concerns even if there is no evident of the crimes. It is also the duty of the service men to come out and speak to the press about such allegations and clearing their name against such perceptions instead of arresting anybody who raise concerns about such societal issues.

But nop, an ignorant or ill informed army can never differentiate between the roles of religious leaders and other responsible citizens in society. They see it as a challenge. What a sad society we really have...it is a disgrace that our religious leaders cannot speak up

Thanks

Demba
