BS & the Smith Man. By YJ You know Batch Samba, BS. He is just that character who does weird and funny stuff; crazy if you think over his doings. You probably in a life time were as stubborn but not close to his level. BS visited the smith man to have his silver bangle (hand's wear) designed with his name on it. Upon arrival, he was seated just like the tens of other customers waiting to be served. BB saw the bellows fanning the flames and admired the bellows so much that he requested to help the smith man. BS was entrusted with the bellows. "Paw baw" the noisy bellows echoed aloud like thunder claps. The rhythm was uniform such that it produced a drum-beat noise, little less than the mortar and pestle sounds in the early morning dawns of African hamlets where cock-crows are the awakening alarm clocks. As BS sat opposite to the smith man, he noticed some thick balls hanging out through the loose trouser locally "daba-kurta." That is the man's tool (scrotal testis), breathing high and low under a hot and crowded work office. BS's poor instinct instructed him to harm the poor and peaceful smith man. He took a sharp rod and had its end on the flames. Once the rod was red hot, he tapped it on the hanging human tool. At once the smith man flew to the ceiling level under pain of a hot rod. Coming down to the ground like a stone, he fainted to graveyard door. Before everyone seated knew what happened to the poor man, BS exited the door with a lightening speed. It was a moment of wonder as everyone tried to guess what happened. Some said the devil hit again. Others said some evil forces have come to attack the poor man. Others said his gone ancestors were not happy with him. To others, it was just one of the many unresolved mysteries. The truth remains God, the smith man and Batch Samba only knew what happened. It was until the smith man regained consciousness that the people knew the only angry ancestor; the only devil in this case; and the only trouble maker was none but the notorious Batch Samba. Moral Lesson: A smith man must never entrust his bellows with a naughty one; and a man with poor (dirty) instinct must never be entrusted with authority capable of harming people. It also shows how we always blame the devil for things we don't know. …for goodness sake, how can BS poke the man's tool with a hot rod? -- yj There is no god but Allah and Muhammad is His messenger. ¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤ To unsubscribe/subscribe or view archives of postings, go to the Gambia-L Web interface at: http://listserv.icors.org/archives/gambia-l.html To Search in the Gambia-L archives, go to: http://listserv.icors.org/SCRIPTS/WA-ICORS.EXE?S1=gambia-l To contact the List Management, please send an e-mail to: [log in to unmask] ¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤
