Karim,

We are all concerned about your wellbeing and each of us here including Hon. Fatty, is doing what we can perhaps in our various ways to yield you secours. More than that, you will be comforted that your ordeal transcends your person and you have only become a poster-boy for treasurable unity of action for our disparate Gambian communities. We are only small separately but your ordeal has helped galvanize those small strengths into a prospectively remarkable force. Implicitly therefore, we all engage for the love of larger Gambia. I'm sure it is not apparent yet but our common mobilization has brought newer considerations for Gambia and Gambians everywhere. A potential achilles heel of community.

Hon. Fatty himself is recovering from injury sustained from an accident in Gambia. As we speak, he is in rehabilitative treatment to gain the use of his limbs. He asks for our prayers and as you know him, his love of Gambia and Gambians has not dissipated. In fact he has been invigorated for he acknowledges the trials of Gambia diasporans and their immense value to Gambia, if latent at the moment.

In effect, it takes a remarkable man like yourself to mobilize an entire community for its own good. Do not underestimate yourself. You are strong-willed and true to form for a fighter for environmental justice. I have long ago recognized your value amid proliferate decrepitudes. Our friends here at Ellen may be a quiet bunch, but a quiet storm. I encourage them to redouble our efforts to concretise the comradery and community into a tangible effort which will focus our energies for commoner good. I extend your thanx to our hosts here at Gambia-L for affording us the medium to come together around common issues. Behind every successful community is a matrix of concentric foundations, often unnoticed and unrecognized.

Du courage mon vieux. We will work harder to minimize your suffering and in so doing save our own souls.
Haruna.

Haruna
Please extend greetings to all the folks. It is campaign to secure my release that is giving me the courage and strength. Please extend my special thanks to Mai Fatty. His stand matters a lot and I have value our 25 years of friend which all translate to nothing but the love of our country and the people. Each of you make me proud to be a Gambian.
Kind Regards1
Abdoukarim Sanneh
