As mother’s day weekend approaches, Gambians of all ages  in Atlanta- young and old  are ready to once again  attend  the  annual Mother’s Day Picnic scheduled to take place on Sunday, May 10th, 2009 in Atlanta , Georgia.

Already dubbed by many as  the second biggest gathering for Gambians in Atlanta organized on behalf of Gambian women and children, Gambia Families Association (GFAA) is hereby inviting Gambians from all over to attend this remarkable weekend for a chance to not only have a good time, but to also see friends and family members.

Judging from the success of last year’s event, GFAA is anticipating a much bigger event . Already, there are signs and indications from  the number of volunteers that the Picnic will be full of entertainment and a chance for Gambians to get together once more just to celebrate with our families and loved ones.

With DJ King Solomon poised to entertain the crowd to the fullest, a package of fun programs for the children to participate in, rhythms, traditional and  possible performances by other artists, it is obvious and certain that this will be a Mother’s Day Picnic like none other before in Atlanta

We therefore appeal to every SeneGambian in Atlanta and encourage them to lend a helping hand by joining this worthy endeavor so that our women will once again  be shown how special and appreciative we are for every effort they give us by helping raise our families, not to mention their contributions towards the daily struggles of life in America.

If you live in the Atlanta area and want to help, participate or need more information on how to join us in making this event possible,  please note that the following individuals can be contacted through email at [log in to unmask].

The Gambia Families Association  is  encouraging all Gambians in the area to  help by contributing and participate in this remarkable event geared towards bringing friends and  families together for enjoyment.
