To your hearts content whatever one feels about quoting the constitution
, i for one do not see anything wrong with citing stipulations of statutes or what have you to drive home a point. It does help clarify issues. I also applaud the work of Foroyaa in always teaching and reminding the citizenry of the what the constitution says and how it is applied.  The folks at Foroyaa and for that matter PDOIS work within the framework of the Gambian constitution however flawed it is.  They adhere to the rule of law as it obtains in the present conditions.  Unless one has other means or more efficient ways in dealing with Jammeh, let the folks at Foroyaa do what they deem fit and as democracy demands do your's as you deem fit.

Greetings, all, you know, all of this quoting of the Constitution is good, and letting people know how the Constitution should be applied, however, what good is that going to do when Jammeh, even though he swore to uphold the Constitution of the Republic of The Gambia, has pretty much told everyone they can go to Hell (yes he did say this), for all he cares, he's going to do what he wants anyway.

Yes, he swore to uphold the Constitution, but we're quoting a document that doesn't mean anything as long as Jammeh is in power.  So how is quoting the Constitution going to help Halifa Sallah, or anyone else?  We're too far gone where quoting a Constitution and explaining its implication would make Yahya Jammeh, along with his cohorts, do the right thing.
