Represented almost 65 per cent of people detained under the various Emergency Power regulations promulgated by the PPP Government after the 1981 abortive coup.

1981-82: Successfully defended the leader of the opposition National Convention Party against charges to treason growing out of the 1981 attempted coup.

1982: Successfully defended the leader of the opposition National party against charges to treason growing out of the 1981 attempted coup. Also defended 16 other people charged for treason, of whom 13 were acquitted.

1984: Lead Attorney in the defense of a former Attorney-General and Minister of Justice on allegations of corrupt practices and abuse of office before the ABOAGYE COMMISSION.

1987: Lead Counsel in the Election Petition Cases filed by members of the opposition against the PPP Government candidates alleged to be involved in electoral malpractice.

1992: Successfully defended election petition cases filed by Government candidates against the leader and two members of the Opposition National Convention party. During the same period successfully prosecuted an election filed by a member of the ruling party against a member of the opposition Gambia People's Party.

1994-95: Appeared and defended before a Commission of Inquiry several individuals who had several as Ministers in the deposed civilian regime.

1995: Retained to defend former Director General of the National Security Services.
1995: Leading defense team in the trial of the former Inspector General of police.

1996: Called by the Gambian people to lead the UDP and challenged the AFPRC JUNTA.
He got arrested, detained many times and have suffered assassination attempts, have suffered attacked by agents of terror at Denton Bridge , Pipeline, Serre Kunda, Bansang, Brikama, Fatoto, Farafenni, and Basse.

!997: Challenged Decree 85 that banned former PPP officials from participating in politics and succeeded throwing  the said Decree in the garbage.

Finally, the reason Mr. Darboe seek refugee at next door to his house, at the Senegalese Embassy was based on an advice by the UDP security personnel and UDP intelligence operatives. The information they received and assessment of the situation was credible that two people were out to shoot Mr. Darboe and pose as bandits, just the manner lawyer Ousman Sillah was shoot.

Thank you very much for your contribution. More than 141 387 Gambians voted for him and because of this do you you not think he should not have ran away as he has a duty to defend the voices of the 14187 Gambian voters who voted for him. Can you please explain what the Gambian constitution expects of a leader.
 
Please explain further if he had assess the risk involved in running for President. Do you think he regret his actions of 1996? Was it cowardice or was it a tactical move?
 
Some are now judging him to the valour and courage shown by Halifa Sallah and Sedia Jatta in 1994 and Halifa Sallah in 2009.
 
Is Darboe fit to lead the UDP after running away and leaving his supporters behind?
 
Please do not judge Darboe, Remember to contribute in as much as he is politician he is also a father but so was Sedia Jatta when he took on Jammeh in 1994
 
However did Darboe act as Muslim who just made a hejira twice to the High commission and then back from the High commission?
