Rumours are rife that the new chief of Armed forces staff Frigate captain Jose' Zamora Induta has been assassinated. The vortex threatens to consume Bissau 2 weeks before the prsidential elections. And if they finally conduct elections in this atmosphere, of what value will the new government be amid such centrifuge of wanton crime and revenge murder?????? Three months ago, the captain's predecessor General Tagme Na Wai perished in a bomb blast a few hours before late President Vierra was butchered. Last Friday, former defense Minister and prospective Presidential contender Bacirou Dabo were assassinated. I mean can these peope even look toward the 28th June presidential elections with any hope or relief. Independent candidate Enri
que Rosa was arrested in Bandim quarter moments after he announced his choice fo campaign manager. His supporters threaten all manner of violence if the campaign starts without him. I mean who in their right minds will hold elections in this atmosphere??? DO they not know what the purpose of elections are??? It is not to give the air of sovereignty. Elections cement sovereignty. Zamora had to be led to a radio mic to announce that he has always been there. been Where??? I guess he was never arrested. I don't friggin believe it. And what if he was never arrested??? Everybody else is being arrested or assassinated. Men. Makes me sick to the stomach. Haruna. COurtesy Radio France Inter and AFRIBONE CN

(Rfi)
