Evian, I think I understand your anxieties. Forgive me if I underestimated your disdain of what you perceive to be Israel or a Zionist state. Needless to say, you and I have different understandings of the nation of Israel and Global sobriety. I will try to share ideas with you and as benignly as possible so we don't get unduly distracted.

["What does Mali's Military campaign against armed Islamist criminals have to do with Mali establishing
diplomatic relations with Israel like Senegal has done, and like Mauritania until recently at the urging of Gaddafi???? ????"] Earlier, by Haruna. Represented by Evian. [You dragged Israel's name into this thread.] Evian. Evian, you have to agree with me that simply because I urged Mali to establish diplomatic relations with Israel and to offer a 100,000 hectare land-grant for the establishment of Malisrael, should not in itself be a reason for you to associate that plea of mine to Mali's express campaign=2 0against armed Islamist bandits who find secours among Mali's tribes in the north. I think you have unduly burdened your own alacrity by forcing a link between those two very important ideas. Their appearance in the same note notwithstanding. I urge you to pause and reflect a bit. I have not made nor did I intend to make any link between the two. I was thinking about the two ideas at the same time. And from the far side, they are not counter-intuitive as you imagined. Besides, I am the purveyor of the thread so you must allow me the privilege to "drag" anything into it that I desire. I accept your privilege to opine on it should you so desire but sans inuring wrong meaning in't. That's how it works Evian. When you do otherwise, you risk becoming belligerent and bellicose, and without reason or rhyme. [So you ought to be the one to tell me what an Israeli embassy will impact upon Mali's fight against terrorists.] Evian. Absolutely nothing. At least for now. And for the purposes of my notes. I hope this will allay your fears, though unwarranted. [Now you have also brought in Gaddafi's name] Evian. Yes indeed. [and trying to create the baseless impression that sans Gaddafi, Mauritania would have had diplomatic ties with Israel.] Evian. No. Here again you are far ahead of me. And guide me to where you are. What I will share with you though is that Mauritania is a sovereign nation, also known to harbour armed Isl amists. Mauritania's former government had established diplomatic relations with Israel and for that, relations with Libya had been severely strained. This led an artificial wedge created between the leader of the coup and the president prior. When the President perceived the presence of outside influences in the coup leader's insubordination, he dismissed him from his position as leader of the state guard. That is when the coup took place by remanding the President to house arrest. I know you are not aware of all this but I willingly share it with you. When the Mauritanian people did not wish to take the idiocy lying down, the anti-coup movement arose. All the while, Mauritania continued being the slave-hub for her elites and Libya. You didn't know that either. When the pressure became palpable, and after Gaddafi's ascension to leadership of the AU, he sought to leverage that honour to appease the anti-coup movement in Mauritania. I encourage you to follow the conclusion of his visit to Mauritania "pretending" to make peace with the two parties and insiduously attempting to overturn the AU's condemnation and suspension of Mauritania from her membership until the unconditional release of the illegally-arrested President and a return to democratic governance. I want to also share with you Evian, that the single most significant threat to Mauritania's slave trade, is Democracy. I know you don't get that now. Diplomatic relations with Israel is sentimental, but inconsequential for Mauritania and Libya. [That's what the vast majority of Mauritanians had wanted and their Government had responded to their calls.] Evian. Say that again?????? Are you saying that the vast majority of Mauritanians wanted a closure of the Israeli embassy???? And that the Junta's closure of the embassy was in response to that popular desire?????? WHere have you been Evian? Besides if I give you that that was indeed the popular will of Mauritanians, I thought the democratically-elected government was the best way to yield that. Why the coup then?????? And I don't remmember the coupists holding a referendum on the issue. Or are you saying they were better at sensing the desire of the people than the peoples' votes???? Evian you really confound me. You do have an appreciable understanding of the geopolitics of the Sahel. It is very sad to be guided by unadulterated sentimentalism. [Israel only deserved to be recognised by predominantly Moslem Countries when Israel recognises the rights of Palestinians to an Independent, viable State.] Evian. Evian. Stop. Stop. I do not know when Israel deserves to be recognized by predominantly Muslim countries and neither do you. So you will forgive me if I do not follow your logic. Besides, my notes are limited to Israelo-Malian relations. WHy are you unduly diluting that to insolvency? Do you know what an independent and viable Palestinian state ought to look like? Evian, I'm afraid your disdain for the nation of Isra el is leading you to senseless pronouncement and impossible demands on Israel to yield a VIABLE Palestinian state. Don't you think with that demand, you have basically cut out any life in the idea of a two-state solution??? I'm confident you did not put much thought into this. You merely repeat sound-bites you hear. But I beg of you to review the innumerable contexts of the sound-bite. When it comes from sober minds, it generally does not demand that Israel yield that. It urges Israel to allow the creation of a Palestinian state (Which only Palestinians can make Independent) so that the Palestinians are empowered to accrue their own viability, with assistance from all freedom-loving nations of the world. I'm afraid your understanding of the Israelo-Palestinian issue leaves a lot to be desired, your profound knowledge of Zionism notwithstanding. I encourage you review its scope. [That's my qualms with the Israeli State.] Evian. Believe me Evian I understand you. Have always understood why such passion would encourage you to pounce on your own Grand-dad. The only problem is that thanks to folk like yourself, a solution to Palestinian statehood remains ever-elusive. I just want you to add value argument to your unadulterated passion for Palestine. I believe that Philastine'l Arabiyya. But you do not understand that concept. It is a Pan-Arabic concept rooted in the history of Arabia and in their cultures. SO no matter how much you feign it, you do not desire any more reprieve for the Palestinian people than I do. Our difference lies in the fact that I prefer using brains and braun and not listless braun alone. AND. I do not desire that reprieve for Palestine at the detriment or disdain of the nation of Israel. I know you're confounded by that. That is because you have chosen the dead-end corner peopled by your like flock. No offense intended by the use of flock. I merely infer "birds of the same feather......". [It is promising that Nethanyahu seems to have bowed to US pressure and for the first time indicated last evening that his admininistration is ready to do just that.] Evian. And you continue to not get it. I encourage you to read Netanyahu's speech again. This time slowly. I did not perceive Netanyahu bowing to any pressure from the US. At least not by last Evening's speech. That speech by Netanyahu does not advance the two-state solutiuon. Netanyahu gave an impassioned speech to the people of Israel and demonstrated his willingness for more autonomy for the Palestinian people in matters of culture and religion. This is not the same as moving expeditiously toward a Palestinian state. Evian, I want you to recall when Israeli officials offered the idea of the non-contiguous Palestine. I refer you to my notes on that. And my caution had proved right. And Hamas truncated the real push to force a CONTIGUOUS Palestine. Don't worry, you don't love Palestinians more than I do. But I love the people of Israel too. What I believe and know, is that the Israelo-Palestinian question does not have to be a Zero-sum game. I will never accept a cockamayme idea for a solution. You can take that to the bank. Bi-Ismi rabbak. [Haruna asked: What tha fuck's wrong with yew?????? Whatever the f***k is wrong with you, kebbah kulluballoh, is what is wrong with me. Now that you know, please share with me your remedial prescription.] Evian. Oh my Evian. This is not that significant. But now that you mention it, What is wrong with me is not Kebbah Kuloobalo. Nkulubaliyaata, Bari Nka Kebaa Bunyaa. The operative word is Kebaa. I discourage you from becoming a kebaa Kuloobalo on account I am one. Remmember, I'm still your Grand-dad. So listen and listen good. Ikango Jaata. Imalbalyaata. Itay fang naffa noola ni Ekanteh Kajafi E-Nidiyaa kang. When you operate on truth and sincerity, is when you'll do the most good for me and you. If my salvation is your interest that is. I love you and I will always love you. Even when I go to hell. You must be reassured of that. I have tried to communicate with you here without using profane language but that in no way swears me off calling an idiot an idiot and a criminal a criminal. I think you should love me for that. And fuck is not so bad. Rape and theft are what are bad. You get it. Good! Love, Haruna. I feel like making another baby to round out my children to an ev en 20. What do you think Evian??? And I haven't forgotten about my imbestigation of your allegation of illegal deportation by Yahya. You don't fool me. MQJGDT. Darbo. Al Mu'Umin. Now can we focus on Mali's thankless war against armed idiots?????? Thank you. Jesus Friggin Christ. If I didn't know any better I'd say you're mad at me for som'n.
