You are too humble Ma Yero. Just let me handle this. What would this world
be without the likes of your honour??? Just coming back from taking our
honourable guests to a goat farm in RIngold, GA. I didn't know Mr. Manneh
could skin a goat with a 4x4 Samurai!!!! Men. And he speaks French too.
Awesome. They extend their greetings to all you good people. Haruna. We head to
Savannah for a boat ride in early August.

Hi Bro Haruna,
I think I am the least qualified to be on that list, nonetheless I
acknowledge your honor and take it as encouragement in continuing to participate
to what is dreadfully at hand, to which I am greatly humbled. I think that
your numerous postings here time and again, covered a wider range of areas –
and those people covered, some known and others not, must all be happy that
someone is fighting for them in this forum, and i.e. you.
On a second note, I encourage you all to be steadfast and do it together
like LJD shared with all a month ago. I am proud of all of you. The folks (I
am afraid to put list of names now. I am sure you followed Uncle Mathew’s
dilemma, and that is the danger with putting names together.) at the
get-together table in Atlanta carried with them a clear message worth passing
around. You know little me, the spirit of seeing everyone on the table is a
dream ever rooted. As an invitee, I learnt a great deal of wisdom from the
eloquent panelists and the organizers. I hope they will move to step two soon.
I owe them something, and I will fulfill mine.
On a last note, I thank you for letting me have access to Mr. kemeseng
Jammeh and Uncle Ebou Manneh during the weekend.
Regards,
Yj

    Suntou,

It is a great poem. You started with the perfect characterisation of a
typical Nyancho: balanas (Resistant Warriors) who never subdue to domination
or subjugation. A modern day nyancho cannot be greater than Abdoukarim
Sanneh, positive action-oriented, universal freedom fighter. With your
permission, I dedicated this poem to him and all the authentic nyanchos who happen
to read this poem. Certainly, any nyancho who is on the deen shall never
worship none other than the One true God, only worthy of worship. Finally, I
would be grateful if you could find the time at your convenience to help
some among us who are not fluent or versed enough in Mandinka to understand
or better appreciate those aspects of your poem, I have underlined as
follows:

Well done and cheers,

Bailo

Kabunka balanas
Men choosing death over disgrace
The parody of bravery and willingness
Where are the remnants of kabunka kewlus
Are they here or have they demised
Yet changing lanes in modern society
Men can be men if kept in-line with good teachings
Fear of God and respect of fellow man
Where are the Kabunka balanas
Today is today, yesterday is gone
Fan kun fan kun is the order
Don’t let them catch you, my kabunka friends
The trow is still here but the spirit is gone
Stick with truth now and remain in God’s lane
Tipu korto and majah doloh
Kumaa baa foo and Jamun dIma
Sidoyaa anin laban tiinya
Where are the remnants of the nyanchos?
Muu nyo mann nyon-soto
Suturo maan nyon soto
Nka nko kumo lefo aliyee
Taa moo kana ale badalindi
Kubaa bee laban, kun din
Saya wote baye lah
Nyancholi tubita
Allah yee tuboli mutale
Be on the deen nyanchos
That is the final verdict.
