I still wnt th staggered dinner schedule in Gunjur or I'm bringing Mams and Bilal. I recalled my bails of kolanut but its still in transit back
to me. The dusty old trails of Yanfolila. Why can't Mali pave all these roads??? That's what I wanna know. Jeune Afrique tells me Mali
is a concrete jungle and teeming with ongoing infrastructure works. I have a present for Mali once operation HENNOIL terminates in
full victory like I know it would. Jabou, with this loaded advice for me, I'll reconsider returning the kolanuts once they hit the wharves at Koulikoro.
I have the tracking number. Kiling, fula, saba, nyent, jurom, sitta, sab'A, thamaaniya. I like you Jabou. Haruna. How do you count in Jolaa???
Evian any help? Or do I need to check with Mr. T?????

Haruna,
You take yourself a lot more seriously than I do. The way I see it,no one is doing a better job of being your own enemy than your own self.
Keep up the good work.
Jabou

Just as Obasanjo did to Old Taylor. "I woul fix evrytin during my thord tem". Inviting us to dinner but only aft
er Yahya. The Afrikanski. You know just how to stroke an ego, Maestro. I second your regard for Juan Carlos' mirage of epiphanies. The man can't make up his friggin mind. Just kidding Juan Carlos. I know Jabou will kill to wring my neck. Perhaps its  just as well you stagger our dinner schedule. And why Gunjur anyway? Ballera worowula. Malang I don't wanna hear it. I want Mams present at any dinner with Juan Carlos. As buffer. Haruna. Too much mushy stuff for me. Draw the swords!!!

Consequent upon your big tent mentality, my special name for you is the "ecumenical thinker". If you are not fighting for Juwara, and Gomez, you are advancing excuses for the political Imams who are clearly in full control of their faculties. I wonder why you are so kind to those with20scant regard for your welfare.

Juwara is politically emasculated, and Gomez is actively lobbying for some partnership with the Professor. Knowing he has absolutely no following, my sources said the Professor is genuinely amused at Gomez's audacious proposal, hence the release of his letter to the Observer as a calculated humiliation.

Your ecumenism notwithstanding, you ar e a "drum major" for justice and sanity in our public life, and I am inviting you and Haruna over for
a sumptuous meal at Gunjur once Jammeh is gone. Just us secularists, no religious "dealers"! Jabou on a separate occasion as I wouldn't have her share the same table with our "profane/vulgar" ATT.

Bro LJD,

As if wonders will never stop on earth...I used to defend their position, using the case20for Karamo Touray (Brikama), Baba Leigh (Bundung) and Hydara (Yundum Airport) as a way of justifying terror meted out to the Imams. I long since withdrew my general stance, immediately after they decorated Jammeh with a sheikh title. To me, a sheikh title must be earned -meaning a versed islamic scholar on its practical work. While I still sympathise with victims everywhere, I am careful, especially after they watched innocent Gambians being forced to drink "kubeyjarra" among other things without preaching against the malpractice. I think the later broke my heart seriously, and left me stranded in-between walls of doubt about their sincerity and true faith. I am careful not to judge any aforetime.

On a positive note, if they should recite the Quran, things are likely to turn in the favor of the o ppressed, because God doesn't support hypocrisy and He likes what is trulyÂC2just. I suspect that these recitations are a way of getting rid of Jammeh. I hope he is not reading my mail, because he will go ahead and arrest them like he did recently in some areas (Mansakonko.)

Regards to you sister Jabou, & I am glad to see your posting.

I know you are not amazed at all!

Our friend Buharry may argue we ought to consider the Imam Ratib of Banjul as an average Gambian who is not fully aware of what he is doing. I admire Buharry but I have no intention of following his lead in this regard.

Where are you Buharry?

Read and be amazed.
It appears that the so-called religious leaders in the Gambia fear Yaya jammeh more than they fear Allah (SWT)
Helas!

The move, the first of its kid in the country is seen by many as another sign of the Gambian Islamic clergy’s submission to President Jammeh’s despotic rule and steady erosion of the secularity of the Gambian state. Last month members of the Gambia Supreme Islamic Council bestowed on the erratic Gambian leader the Muslim title of “Sheikh.â€ State House Imam was donated with a brand new four-wheel vehicle for initiating the entitlement.

The objective of the worship, according to the rele ase, is also to invoke Allah’s blessings for the president of The Republic of The Gambia, “His Excellency, and Sheikh Professor Alhaji Dr Yahya Jammeh and the nation at large, and to ensure a successful outcome of the event.
