Thank you for the well articulated and enlightened reflection on what a true
and effective revolution aught to be. In a weird way, Jammeh had a
revolution, I mean a total shock of an established system, a total overhaul
but only for the worse as you so well articulated in your this piece.
Peter Calvert talked about "a political myth that gives the political
leadership resulting from a revolutionary transition short-term status as
the legitimate government of the state..." He could have been referring to
the A(F)PRC. They appeared legitimate for a minute, but that's about how
long it lasted for the right thinking to realize it was all a myth. Let them
wallow in their mythical graceland of a revolution.
