Firstly where were you? secondly don't play with my intelligence if you are always against unification talks wherever it shows up. Always put into consideration the fact that, without unity of the political parties back home, progress will be far to achieve.

Wasn't it the same I wrote as the problem in my piece (insecurity inexperience) or have you skip that part? The Gambia at this stage need a unify voice to counter the division which is on the brink; will you agree with me?

Besides, people can read the same text and have differences on the meaning just like the recent court case of the GPU 7. Karim was displeased and sadden about the cold atmosphere on the insult to Mandingos as well, the foreseeable tribal division on this particular forum right? and even added if it was the topic of Halifa and Darbo, the atmosphere will be different or have you got your own interpretation to that Haruiner? or you just wanted to be Haruiner as usual?  Just make your own interpretation and your fact or opinion without attesting it was the only facts. how did you came to that conclusion? In this kinds of responses you could create misunderstanding between people my Brother. Edi

Mams,

I think you severely missed Karim's point. It has nothing to dowith Politicians or unity of opposition parties. What Karim shares with you is that Yahya's fears and insecurity are parlayed into Mandingo-bashing. And all ethnicities must not allow ethnic bias to make them apologists for Mandingos. Instead, if you abhor the monkey's sophomoric attempts to keep our tribes at loggerheads, stand up or speak up. That's it. That's all. No politician or unity of opposition partes will accrue that good conscience. Think!!! DOn't water down your value to any politician or amalgamatin of political parties when ignominy threatens your entire being. When we have another crazy scared monkey in the future, will you want a politician or united parties to save you from him/her???? That is the $64,000.00 question.
Haruna.

Hello Karim, you are right in every aspect of your complains and I will keep on praising your patience and energetic efforts to see justice prevailed. One thing is for sure, you cannot make everyone to be like you; besides, at this juncture, anyone who happens to do as you said will feel guilty or intimidated. Besides, this is not the first20time Jammeh uses the tone sometimes even to the extend of insulting every Gambian as lazy and unproductive. Diplomacy, inexperience, insecurity is the problem here.

The only hope we can bestowed on is God and the unity of our politicians back home with the pressure from the international community who are already aware of the events back home as well starting to voice out their dismay. We in the diaspora; "in the GL", can do very little to motivate changes but just to pray for it.

We all loved our country to prompt our participation on debates on people and politics regarding Gambia whether significant or not. The First step I guess should be the mutual understanding between our politician to committing themselves to starting the unification processes which I suspect others outside the forum are on the process and hopefully the primary agreement will not be publish yet as it has played a strategic part in disuniting the previous setting. once again thanks for your tireless efforts and expect God to rewards you. Anything one does for humanity course selflessly, the rewards will be abundance unanimous. Edi

Every Gambia of conscience is silence with Yahya Jammeh dangerously playing on tribal politics. Yahya Jammeh need background checking. It is also time for Gambian know about serious implication in the ethnicisation of politcs in that country. If the regime have seriously harm Chief Ebrima Manneh, Kanyiba Kanyi etc and is unwilling to tell Gambians because they are victim of enforced disaapearance by illusive shifting it into tribal politics and blaming Mandinkas for his bloody failures. Yahya Jammeh thus understand the mindset of some elements within Gambian politics and is using it full time to his advantage.
It is about time if we love our country and mean what we precher condemn such outrageous remark. I have a string blood connection in two Gambia tribes and will never be muted with a silly remark from Yahya Jammeh. He is a tribalist and any tribalist will entertain such a derogative statement. Tribalism have no different from racism. If such a statement made by Gordon Brown or any UK Politicians the reaction from the media and British public will be louder and will even force the individual to resign. We in the Gambian forum are silence. Is this silence not insult to our conscience? We are thinking of Gambia to be a free and equal society which we will all use our potential so silence about tribal prejuice, sexism etc is a defeat to what we preach.
No hard feeling!
