Private Jet, fuelling-refuelling, Park Hayatt Hotel in Washington DC, Double Tree Hotel, Disney Land, Truck load of household materials, Sky caterers. Indonesian maids. A captivating tale of merciless spenders dipping their hands into our national coffers, protected by a corruption green zone.

1 - Private Jet and the attached expenditures
Never has she travel overseas that The Gambia's First Lady Zeinab Souma Jammeh goes without using the presidential private jet or hire a private one for her own use. This past 16th day of August 2009 is when she left the shores of Washington after having spent one month and six days in the USA. The purpose of her trip was for two things: SHOPPING and visit to DISNEY LAND for Myriam Jammeh her daughter and Muhammed Jammeh the baby son. Both are known biological children of her husband and Gambia’s president Yahya Jammeh, who is now crowned Sheikh being a high ranking Islamic title. This title is usually given to people with an exemplary character who do not entertain anything mundane in their lives. The type of plane she used this time our sources revealed is a 727 running on two engines.

It is well known fact that 2 engines usually refuel when traversing the triangular Atlantic way from The Gambia to Europe (Malta) then USA. This leg makes it more expensive a trip. Stopping over in Europe for refuelling involves strenuous operations and extra expenditures IE-overflight and landing clearance to be issued by the country over whose open skies the flight is cruising. Adding insult to injury is the landing fees via Malta during the to and fro legs. Worst of all, a lot more has been spent on sky caterers. There is constant service through out the duration of the flight and those services are not being performed by the hostesses they were hired from independent sky caterers.

According to an aviation expert a 727 fuel capacity could be pegged at 60,000 jet fuel liters per trip (before take off). The dollar value is @ $4.25 a gallon. Multiply 60,000 by 4(take offs) and see how much you will get.

2 -Duration and the impact it has on our national coffers.
The first lady and delegation, our sources revealed, stayed in the USA for a month and six days. Her first three weeks were spent at Park Hayatt Hotel which is situated within the vicinity of 18th and M street in Washington DC. The same sources revealed that the rate per night for her own suite is valued @ $400.00(Four hundred dollars a night). Multiply the amount by 21 days to get the figure for three weeks. This excludes the rate attached to the rooms of those accompanying the first lady. During this trip the same source revealed that she came with senior state guard Baa Jerreh and 3 of his men which amounts to 4 altogether. Each of these guards should be renumerated as Gambia government employees at a rate of 90 POUND STERLINGS or at least $140.00 per diem. This figure can be multiplied by 3 weeks (first round) and divided by 4 to see how much each guard earns/ed individually.

3 -The crew and expenditures attached
Breaking it down will help our readers here. These are the 5 pillars who help maintain the flight in the first place. Who are:
the pilot,
co-pilot,
navigator,
flight engineer,
ground engineer(which could be more sometimes depending on Yahya Jammeh's taste for extraordinary services for the lady and the kids).

This includes the services of the Indonesian maids President Jammeh hired only to help maintain his kids. For the information of all Gambians those who serve Jammeh I mean the closest are from Indonesia. They are not Gambians. Those who also serve his wife I mean the closest are from Morocco. Both husband and wife have different wings of personnel serving them from other countries.

Maintaining all of the 5 is not cost free. This time they stayed at DOUBLE TREE HOTEL in Washington DC with the 4 AIR HOSTESSES bringing the number to 9. Our investigations revealed that the hotel rate (cheapest possible per night) is at $129.00 a night. Multiply 129 by 9 then one month and six because they did not proceed to Miami. Multiply and see how much it will give you.

4 -Why was Park Hayatt Hotel chosen this time?
All those who are accustomed to the first lady's lodging venues etc know that she adores Jefferson hotel in Washington. However our sources revealed that the Jefferson was under renovation this trip therefore she shifted to the Park Hayatt Hotel as mentioned before.

6 -Where was the presidential jet parked?
It was parked at a location known as the SWISS PORT in Dulles International airport. This is private handling agent whose charges are more expensive when compared to those of the Dulles ones or other airports where handling is concerned. These expenditures do not exclude the moving of the stairs near and away from the aircraft for the passengers and crew to use when descending or ascending. This is not free of charge. Our source revealed that some time in the past the first lady's delegation paid $3000.00 only for using the movable stairs.

The landing fees at the location throughout her stay were valued at $750.00 per night. Multiply this by the duration of time from the day she arrived to the day she left which is one month six days and see what you will get.

7 -Two weeks in Disneyland only to make Muhammed and Myriam be so happy.
Being in Disney is not a crime because any person who can afford it "cleanly" should make his or her kids happy. BUT the crime about this visit is that these kids are those of a president who is running the affairs of one of the poorest countries in the world. The crime here is that the same president mercilessly jailed a mother for two years without an option to a fine while she is breast feeding her 7 months old infant. The lady is Sarata Dibba who is at the moment spending her Ramadan month in Mile Two central prisons. What was she accused of? She was accused of being a journalist under a dictatorial regime, The other crime about Lady Zeinab's visit to Disney is the Hollywood style coming from a lady who calls herself a Muslim and the wife of a so-called Islamic Sheikh. The other crime she committed for visiting Disney world is that the monies being spent have been stolen by her corrupt husband. As an African herself, who is claiming to have been schooled the least we expect from Lady is for her to have concern for The poor in The Gambia but not to help a desirous president slay our economy simply because he is armed and feels secure for that very reason therefore can do whatever he likes at anytime. Does she have a heart?

Sources have revealed three hours ago that she is preparing to go to MAKKA for the annual UMRA! Does she have a heart? Doesn't she hear the cries of Sarata's baby even if it is in her imaginations? Does she have a heart? Why can't she be whispering into her husband's ear the need to take things easy because tomorrow is another day? After she left Disney she came to Washington DC to spend more money.

Going to and from Disney land means first class tickets for lady and her kids plus the head of the security as the nearest calculation per head. According to the expedient website cheap ticket rates for first class tickets are valued at $940.00 and this means when booked months before the actual date of departure. Now think about Lady Zeinab's taste of lavish spending and someone like her who books within minutes and flies within seconds. That ticket's price will be exorbitant on an expensive airliner.

8 -A Truck load of household materials taken to the airport and loaded in the private jet.
As Lady Zeinab and her husband are spending our resources mercilessly Gambians are watching and trailing them in earnest. Before flying a truck load of household materials is what was taken to the airport only to be loaded in Zeinab's plane for her to fly back with those expensive things to a poor country. A poor country where basic commodities are no longer affordable by families.

This evening one of our investigators revealed the following prices to us as far as commodities being sold in The Gambia are concerned.

-A 50kg bag of sugar jumped from D700.00 to D900.00 this evening.
-The price of a bag of Irish potatoes has leaped from D300.00 to D550.00 or more. Prices in The Gambia increase by the hour not by the day.
-A bag of onions leaps from D300.00 to D500.00
-A Kilo of meat and bone leaps from D60.00 to D80.00

President Jammeh himself said he would he supplying meat to all Gambians after taking over the Abuko abattoir. Now where are we when he is the owner of Abuko abattoir? The president is a Sheikh and we are in Ramadan. How come we are seeing this excessive mercilessness spreading its wings over our poor peoples’ heads during a holy month? He is in the business of sugar and rice too why are our people buying these dear prices? A Sheikh?

9 -Present investigations spiraling over the Alieu Mboge and the GGC, Tony Carvallo and an Insurance company he has been helped to open and handle by President Jammeh. We understand that, the woman who helped raise Jammeh in Banjul Half-die ward, during his days as a school going child from Foni while at Pa Alphonse Tamba's residence, is Tony's sister.  Our investigations are ongoing and will reveal so many hidden and unexpected details in days to come. This is the Ramadan month it is so holy for this paper to cook up stories. Anything written here is done to show how much we love our country and are ready to tackle the political-disease in it.

10 -Reports say President Jammeh donated $700,000.00 to Taiwan-typhoon.
Our investigations are hitting on a concrete wall which has been erected by money launderers. Taiwan even though could be thankful have to be careful of facilitating money laundering for a corrupt African dictator.
