Oh I see Kukeh, thanx for the heads-up.

I spoke with my auntie on Friday. SHe had shared with me news about the PROSPECTIVE demonstraion to come Monday and preparative demarche on account offices and shops would be closed.

The AFP story I shared was an account of the early hours of the demonstation. Subsequent AFP stories have accounted for the mounting casualties and DEATHS resulting from the dynamic situation. I was going to share subsequent AFRIBONE/AFP/RFI stories until I saw Juan C. share a BBC story you forwarded. I was pleased you were following the story and I was confident we will together fill in the gaps of a fluid situation. I was actually shocked when I saw the story you forwarded indicating the high number of deaths. The situation was escalating rapidly from the pioneer 11 casualties to centenary death.

My auntie cannot corroborate either BBC accounts or AFP/AFRIBONE accounts of casualties in La-GUinea. Even the hospitals cannot corroborate these numbers. Nonetheless, a centenary death is way too much for a demonstration urging Dadis to reconsider his promisory NOT TO CONTEST the upcoming elections. Even the 11 injuries are way too much. It indicates the stirred vortex that is La-GUinea at this time.

Thank you again for the heads-up. Haruna.

Haruna,
Given the AFP story was at best contradictory to the many reports out there about the situation in La Guinee and that you talked to your auntie in Conakry, I am just wondering if you tried to confirm the story (the AFP's) before passing it on?
