If you ever visited a social networking site or a friend who visited that site has you in their mail-list, the sites have become adept at using cookies and tracers to violate your privacies. The same goes for Paypal, JHOOS, Facebook, etc.
The best advice to anyone is to ignore such automatic invitations if they do not wish to be bothered. I understand your anxiety. I receive them at least 20 times a month and I never go to Facebook, JHOOS, Paypal, or any other social networking site. I am socialled out at ELLEN, and that's where I'll stay. Any other social networking site who wishes my company must first come to Ellen, get my handle and send me an invitation and until they send $100,000.00 to The OLDF fund, I ain't friggin going there. You'll have to pry me off of Ellen with a diamond-tipped crowbar. The others are all after your pocketbook and they don't have the decency to ask you directly.
It has been drawn to my attention that my computer is sending invitation messages to join a dating site to people who are in my address book. I want to apologize to all those who received such messages; although I am not good with computers, I am trying to get help to solve this problem.
